Start with the reference movement
The table uses a stated price movement for comparison. For example, 0.0001 for EUR/USD and 0.1 for Gold. It does not claim that this is the minimum price increment for every contract.
TRADING GUIDE
A price change means something different for every instrument. Explore the reference movement, its USD value for one lot and a clear buy example for 16 instruments.
A one-unit Nasdaq price increase is USD 20 for one lot in this calculation example. These are not live prices.
THE UNIT BEHIND THE NUMBER
Use these three ideas together when comparing instruments or planning a position.
The table uses a stated price movement for comparison. For example, 0.0001 for EUR/USD and 0.1 for Gold. It does not claim that this is the minimum price increment for every contract.
The USD value shows the estimated change in a one-lot position when the instrument moves by the reference amount. Values differ between instruments.
Multiply by the number of lots and the number of reference movements. A move in the opposite direction reverses the sign of the result.
16 INSTRUMENTS / PRICE & VALUE
Each buy example uses one lot and one reference movement. Positive results illustrate that price increase only; they are not forecasts.
